Walmart & Sam’s Club: Thank You for Showing Up for Our Kids!

From June 9 through July 6, Walmart and Sam’s Club locations across Maryland brought immense energy, creativity, and heart to their Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals campaign for Johns Hopkins Children’s Center! 

With over 40 participating locations, this year’s campaign saw a surge in both associate engagement and community support, resulting in a collective fundraising total that surpassed last year’s. From in-store register asks to lively outdoor events, associates made the campaign visible, memorable, and deeply rooted in community impact: car shows in the parking lot, water balloon tosses that brought teams together, and store-wide efforts to build excitement around the cause. These moments weren’t just fun — they created real momentum, inviting members of the community to join in and give back.

We also celebrate the Thomas family, our champions, for their dedicated engagement! Their visits to multiple Walmart and Sam’s Club locations brought the mission to life, helping connect fundraising efforts directly to the children and families served at Johns Hopkins Children’s Center. Through their presence, they offered a tangible reminder of the local impact behind every dollar raised.
