Kids first, then ice cream: #MiracleTreatDay is August 2!
Help kids get back to being kids on August 2nd by celebrating Miracle Treat Day! When you purchase a Blizzard® Treat from participating Dairy Queen locations, $1 or more from every Blizzard Treat sold will go to Johns Hopkins Children’s Center, making miracles for kids in Maryland and Delaware.
Kids like Lucy and her sisters Annie and Molly LOVE visiting their local, participating Dairy Queen location on Miracle Treat Day. Lucy was treated at the Children’s Center for craniosynostosis, a premature fusion of the cranial sutures between the bones of a baby’s skull. To learn more about Lucy, check out her full story here.
Dairy Queen has been a proud partner of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals since 1984 and has raised more than $130 million for local children’s hospitals. In 2018 alone, Johns Hopkins Children’s Center received nearly $15,000 in donations through Dairy Queen. Their support has impacted our hospital in numerous ways — their donations have helped us to fund critical care needs for our patients. This could be anything from giving nervous patients Bravery Capes and Tutus in the Emergency Department, to ensuring that we have a Child Life Specialist to help guide patients through difficult procedures outside of regular working hours.
Ways to celebrate:
1. Invite your friends and family to visit a participating Dairy Queen location to get a Blizzard Treat!
2. Share your visit on social media using #MiracleTreatDay or by using the custom Miracle Treat Day Snapchat filter!
